The weekend is here, and it’s a good time to do things that enrich the spirit, soul and body. The first thing I did today was to go for a sixty-minute run followed by 30 minutes of stretches -I have to admit stretching isn’t always my favourite. Still, I’m beginning to do more stretches as it’s good for the body, and I am a work in progress; with constant training and determination, I will get to my desired level.
Other Fun Things to Do This Weekend
Pursue a passion: Weekdays can be busy, leaving no time to pursue a passion for many people; the weekend allows for a passion such as writing. Also, I typically write content for my blog during the weekend. Head to the library or bookstore to catch up on your favourite book.
Mini Vacation: Getting away for the weekend provides a great respite from the grind of an intense week at work, Cohen says.
Volunteer: This is an excellent way to network and meet others with similar interests.
Plan: Remember the popular saying, “He who fails to plan, plans to fail.” Planning makes people more effective, and doing it before the week starts means you can hit the new week ready to go, which means you’ll deliver your tasks and give clear directions to the people who work for you.
Socialize: Go out with friends and family or get involved in the local community. Socializing can be achieved through many avenues, such as attending Churches, as humans are social creatures. Studies of people’s experienced happiness throughout the day find that socializing ranks right up there, not too far below sex.
